Duties
Vehicle Integration Leader required to drive down the development of new and existing vehicle architectures. Responsible for driving and leading the integration of new technologies within that zone into new and existing vehicle architectures. Drive functional and attribute target delivery, acting as the voice of the customer to lead any arbitration required.

Responsibilities Include:
- Accountable as the leader and technical arbitrator, integrating and delivering the engineering for the whole vehicle whilst ensuring compatibility with GRID, the commodity/system strategies and functional targets
- Lead Group functional integration for given vehicle, to drive out complexity and deliver the most efficient technical solutions
- Work closely with Vehicle Attribute Robustness team to drive delivery of embedded design quality, service and manufacturing requirements
- Drive vehicle technical data progression (CAD, DV, AIMS, Build, Test & Releasing etc..) with groups & interfacing team leads
- Oversee alignment on, and subsequent delivery of, Minimum Viable Product into both virtual and physical verification and validation through life of Programme
- Drive cross group obstacle resolution, ensuring timely escalation to nameplate and / or Architecture VEM as required
- Ensure prompt escalation of technical blockers/incompatibilities to Vehicle/Chapter/Enterprise leadership via the Obstacle process
- Support study & Agile spike activities to solve complex engineering problems

Skills / Experience Required:
Essential:
- Automotive technical knowledge and extensive experience of complex interactions, including technical analysis and decision-making
- Demonstrated understanding automotive technology with an advanced level of technical depth into vehicle, system and component detailed design, development and delivery, ability to interrogate and ratify incoming technical standards, system and component assumptions.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience in leading teams of people to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach e.g 8D and/or Six Sigma
- Project Management experience of delivery against a complex set of Programme technical deliverables
- An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable

Discrete Event Simulation Engineer (36846722) - £35.50/hr (Inside IR35) - Liverpool (hybrid potential) - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties:
Responsible for the development and delivery of the Discrete Event Simulation model and documentation, modelling the process flow from concept thru to the delivery phase to JOB1 + 90 days. The model will be developed to include, but not limited to: -
- Discrete Event Simulation
- Lead the DES model generation from concept modelling to fully detailed mimic of the programme / system that meet the design scope, operating principals, performance metrics, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment objectives are met.
- Lead the system optimisation, cost avoidance, best practises capturing and sharing this with relevant stakeholders
- Able to work effectively with design teams to develop and optimise solutions considering multi-attributes within defined deadlines and time constraints
- Guide the process using a product knowledge and awareness of potential design constraints to ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions
- Coordinate and lead projects and teams feedback of results as required through design / project reviews / DES Dashboards
- Lead optimisation of the DES model against different model derivative mixes and operational parameters.

- Previous experience in using Lanner Witness or Siemens Technomatix Plant Simulation toolset
- Previous experience and background in production process flow simulation, problem solving on complex technical systems.
- Previous experience of bottleneck analysis using Discrete Event Simulation.
- Previous experience of delivering Discrete Event Simulation to programme KPIs and targets
- Experience in production sites
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Join a team of next generation thinkers within Engineering Delivery, enabling the delivery of critical future engineering programmes, including development of cutting-edge technologies ranging from future autonomous driving capabilities through to delivering their future all-electric flagship 4x4.

This role will support the delivery of such programmes, the projects and their interdependencies within the Engineering Delivery team, using an Agile operating model. Typically, this will involve the identification, planning and co-ordination of specific projects, working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters across different levels of the Agile organisation.

You will:
- Deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Work with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions.
- Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, and risk and issue management.
- Proactively monitor Engineering health through agreed KPIs leading to the resolution of risks

Skills / Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role in automotive Project Management with track record of delivery with the experience or knowledge of the Agile project management framework
- The ability to manage risks and issues combined with analytical skills to identify how one issue or risk can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
- A methodical detailed approach to work
- Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience
- Experience resolving problems using structured approaches and problem-solving tools
- Adaptability skills; to be able to respond to change in priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft software as well as the ability to learn how to use project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- To be an effective team-player who supports colleagues to deliver shared objectives
