As a Joining / Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring our joining methods are robust and efficient. Your proactive approach will be key as you:
- Collaborate and Influence: Actively contribute your insights and provide vital feedback to our lead Joining Engineer, BIW Process Engineering, and Product Development teams. Your input will directly shape how our joining methods become manufacturable under real plant conditions.
- Analyse and Optimise: Dig into the results of feasibility trials, providing incisive technical inputs to ensure data validity. Your analytical skills will be crucial in finding areas for improvement and driving optimal solutions.
- Foster Strong Vendor Relationships: Proactively manage vendor engineers, ensuring all responsibilities are met, technical reviews and timing adhered to, and any deviations are raised promptly.
- Ensure Project Consistency: Function as a project coordinator, championing consistency across all initiatives. You'll ensure every project aligns with our best practices and established methodologies, guaranteeing high-quality, standardised delivery every time.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Use your data and digital Systems Proficiency to find opportunities for automation, create insightful dashboards for real-time monitoring, and perform sophisticated data analysis using formulas, macros, PowerApps and even AI tools. Your ability to harness technology will streamline our processes and enhance decision-making.
- Coordinate Manufacturing Excellence: Partner with the project team and coordinate seamlessly with Line Builders/vendors to advance each phase. You'll ensure strict adherence to joining technologies' buy-off procedures and standards, contributing to seamless production.
- Understand the Big Picture: Develop a solid understanding of how various interfaces interact with joining technologies in a manufacturing environment, and ensure parameters are perfectly aligned for applications such as adhesive, FDS, RSW, and more.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for crafting and developing aspects of brand identity including but not limited to symbolism, type, iconography, colour, grid and layout.
- Explore extractions and pattern from brand elements for use across all brand experiences.
- Support the development and establishment of principles for typography.
- Support and create the foundation of visual language for icons.
- Ensure harmony across all elements of the brand identity system
- Work closely with the brand programme managers to ensure timely delivery.

Durability & Robustness Programme Leader - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire / Hybrid potential (8 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties:
This role is within the Durability & Robustness attribute which is part of the wider Driven Attribute Integration organisation. The Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for Durability & Robustness are met with appropriate target setting, design development and completion of whole vehicle verification activities using both virtual and physical test methods.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway
- Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
- Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities
- Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets
- Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
- Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
- Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary

Skills:
- Knowledge/experience of automotive engineering test activities
- Knowledge/experience of automotive technologies or systems

Education:

- Understanding of Durability & Strength principles
