Duties:
- Lead the development of a strategic approach to powertrain integration between EV Racing and EP technical communities, defining an operating model to support the objectives of; accelerated EV technology development, body of knowledge advancement & on-track competitive advantage.
- Technical project management working with stakeholders across EV Racing and EP groups to identify alignment on key technologies supporting common commodity strategies, developing ED&T programs to advance technology readiness for both race and road application.
- Lead the integration of Motorsport led, powertrain activities into Off-Cycle agile structure, with the vision of using Formula E as a Research Platform for maturation of emerging technologies.
- Lead the identification and definition of aligned electrified powertrain technologies, encompassing components, systems, software and supporting test methods and tools between motorsport and passenger car applications.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities to improve motorsport programme performance and efficiency through utilisation of EP, cross functional technical capabilities, expertise, facilities and partnerships.
- Support the definition of the Motorsport Integration Team strategy, leading the propulsion workstreams in support of collaboration between motorsport and core programs.
- Establish opportunities to advance powertrain technology roadmap through key stakeholder engagement, early scoping and KPI definition in line with client's Strategic and Technology themes.
- Facilitate cross functional workshops to define collaborative work packages, required resource, roles & responsibilities and timing.
- Development of robust collaborative ED&T program aligned to the TDF framework.
- Technical project management of early phase delivery to the point of handover to PE to progress post TDF gateways, embedding into the Off Cycle framework.
- Monitor projects from point of handover using the Valuation Framework to track commodity/technology benefits at key milestones, tracking the portfolio of PT projects.
- Lead regular report out to senior stakeholders across core and motorsport programs
- Record and work with department performance measures to identify the cause of any downtime or
- Assist in Identify ways to improve and grow departmental operations and integration of motorsport into the wider PE organization.
- Complete tasks given within allowable time
- Proactively support others to complete their tasks
- Maintain positive relationships with all other factory departments and team Personnel.

Skills:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
- Mechanical/Automotive engineering experience required, with a focus on electrified powertrains
- Electrical engineering experience with a focus on automotive application
- Experience in BEV Propulsion systems, system integration and technology roadmap
- Highly organised, disciplined, flexible and self-motivated.
- Experience of managing projects & backlogs in tools such as Confluence & JIRA.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/DevOps methodologies.
- Ability to manage projects across diverse teams and an ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, focus on results/outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Decisive, able to make decisions that set direction of the team independently.

Electrical Launch Engineer (37009315) - £27.21/hr (Inside IR35) - Liverpool (hybrid potential) - 10 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Job Description:
Over the next 24 months, our client will launch at least four new vehicles as part of the EVA25 architecture. These roles are designed to strengthen plant launch capability by bringing in the technical expertise required to ensure successful programme delivery.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead daily issue management for defects identified within Plant Manufacturing and during vehicle road testing, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Develop into the subject matter expert for Electrical launch, providing guidance and technical support to plant electrical teams (including V-CATS) and electrical repair associates.
- Good understanding of Networks and capturing vehicle Logs (Can Alyser , ASL , Putty and DLT logs)
- Act as the primary liaison between the manufacturing facility and core engineering teams, presenting issues with unmistakable evidence such as vehicle logs and other relevant diagnostic information (Current experience within Infotainment systems and Body systems will be a positive)
- Be based primarily at the Manufacturing facility, with occasional work required at other sites, like our Warwickshire Engineering Centre.

Skills:
- Previous launch experience around End of line and integration support mandatory
- Canalyer and other Dev-aids experience essential
- The role is onsite support and will vary across various vehicle related systems
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a Launch team
- Must have a driving license as may be required to move vehicles and verify functionality
- Ability to read Electrical diagrams and experience of vehicle launch
- Conversant with software download tools , able to work in a launch environment, motivated and good understanding of vehicle launch and supporting plant activities and crisis reviews. Quality mindset essential.

Equipment and training provided, including laptops and diagnostic peripherals. Current experts will deliver training; however, prior experience in Electrical Launch is essential.

The Advanced Vehicle Efficiency Integration Lead Engineer will take a leading role in:
- Supporting the Efficiency Product Owner in the delivery of data-driven, intelligent, optimised energy nodes (sources of energy conversion) in pursuit of Vehicle Efficiency attributes (eg. real world and homologated driving range and energy consumption) befitting modern luxury.
- Collaborating with a wide range of business stakeholders and Engineers during the initial phases of vehicle development
- Identifying risks and opportunities in a robust data-driven manner with the purpose of informing and influencing business decisions and engineering direction related to vehicle energy nodes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vehicle Architecture's Efficiency Product Owner and working within the Agile operating model, responsibilities will include:
- Conducting strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency attribute (including competitive positioning assessment & benchmarking, assessment of fleet compliance requirements, customer feedback data analysis, real-world customer data analysis, reviews of legislative requirements etc)
- Collaborating with energy node owners in influencing and defining strategic technology roadmaps compatible with Vehicle Efficiency attribute requirements and customer trends
- Conducting target compatibility assessment and negotiation between the Vehicle Efficiency attribute and vehicle energy node owners
- Collaborating with tools and methods teams to ensure Vehicle Efficiency attribute development requirements are well defined and aligned with programme objectives
- Coordinating and contributing towards Vehicle Efficiency attribute virtual verifications and data analysis
- Supporting effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations for how to handle risks and opportunities as they arise

Skills:
Essential:
- Technical understanding of how vehicle energy nodes (road load, propulsion efficiency, electrical loads etc) affect vehicle-level efficiency and driving range
- Significant experience of Vehicle attribute and/or vehicle system delivery
- Strong technical engineering background with evidence of a methodical, structured approach to problem solving
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to use data and visualisations to articulate complex risks, opportunities and recommendations in an easily digestible way
- Good communication skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex technical subject matters
- Self motivated and independent, able to work and deliver value autonomously within JLR’s Agile operating model
- Well-organised and diligent, able to keep a handle on technical administration

Desirable:
- Knowledge and/or experience of working with Agile operating principles
- Knowledge of vehicle efficiency legislative homologation/certification methods, processes and implementation
