Role:
The role will be within the Global Manufacturing Engineering team with a focus on Trim & Final operations, covering a vast scope from initial target setting, best in class and competitor analysis through to virtual development of the vehicle and finally into launch. This role resides within our Innovation Centre at Castle Bromwich. Duties
Reporting to the Vehicle Architecture’s Efficiency Product Owner and working within the client Agile operating model, responsibilities will include:
- Conducting strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency attribute (including competitive positioning assessment & benchmarking, assessment of fleet compliance requirements, customer feedback data analysis, real-world customer data analysis, reviews of legislative requirements etc.)
- Coordinating and contributing towards Vehicle Efficiency attribute virtual verifications and data analysis
- Conducting target compatibility assessment and negotiation between the Vehicle Efficiency attribute and vehicle energy node owners
- Collaborating with energy node owners in influencing and defining strategic technology roadmaps compatible with Vehicle Efficiency attribute requirements and customer trends
- Supporting effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations for how to handle risks and opportunities as they arise

The Vehicle Efficiency team is responsible for vehicle efficiency across all programs. EEM is part of the team and are responsible for electrical efficiency for all powertrain variants. Our client is seeking a passionate and naturally influential Lead Requirements Engineer to lead the creation, development and maintenance of electrical efficiency requirements. This role is less about deep technical expertise in efficiency and more about championing the customer perspective, translating their needs into robust engineering requirements, and driving cross-functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Authoring & Ownership:
- Create electrical power targets into clear, actionable engineering requirements.
- Maintain ownership of these requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring traceability and compliance.

Test Case Authoring and Ownership:
