Business Analyst - Automotive Engineering Operations

Warwickshire - Up to £27.21/hr Ltd Co. - Type: Contract - Duration: 10 Months

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Business Analyst - Automotive Engineering Operations - £27.21/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire (hybrid potential) - 10 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties:
- Serve as a Business Analyst supporting the Engineering Operations Factory Office, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
- Coordinate and execute key operational processes to enable the Factory Office team to meet performance and efficiency targets.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather and validate requirements, including obtaining supplier quotations, initiating procurement requests via the client SAP system, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of data to the central approval system.
- Partner with Finance to facilitate the approval of various expenditure types, ensuring compliance with internal controls and budgetary guidelines.
- Provide process guidance and support to functional team members, particularly in navigating recruitment and expenditure approval workflows.
- Deliver regular reporting, including weekly and monthly updates, to track progress against operational and financial goals.
- Maintain the accuracy of the budget plan by clearly distinguishing between committed and uncommitted expenditures.
- Report directly to the Factory Manager while also maintaining accountability to the functional area you represent.
- Support the Factory Manager in fulfilling Engineering Operations (EO) team requirements, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in business process analysis or within a financial operations environment within the automotive industry.
- Strong financial acumen, with a solid understanding of key financial principles including commitment tracking, expenditure management, cash flow, and accruals.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to drive alignment and deliver results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet fixed deadlines through effective planning and prioritization.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with clear and confident communication skills—both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills & Knowledge
- Familiarity with key business systems and tools such as SAP and RADS; training will be provided as needed.
- Previous experience working within an automotive engineering or manufacturing environment.

Additional information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
