This role will act as an SME within the Data Advisory team within Product Engineering to review and risk assess complex Product Engineering projects that handle personal data in line with the EU and UK Data Protection Legislation (EU/UK General Data Protection Act, GDPR). Such projects may include: in-vehicle infotainment features, cloud based processing, software development, Mobile Apps, Assisted and Automotive Driving technologies, "Connected vehicle" products and services.
The role will advise Engineering colleagues on the Privacy requirements that their project must comply by identifying and articulating:

- international data transfers
- industry specific guidelines
- data minimisation techniques
- data subject rights adherence
Skills Required:
- Proven experience working as a dedicated Privacy professional.
- Previous experience advising on technical/ technology based processes e.g. Automotive, Engineering, IT, Software Development, Banking.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to communicate complex legal arguments to Engineering colleagues.

- Law degree: or Engineering/ IT degree: or Qualified lawyer
Experience Preferred:
- Proven experience of managing a heavy workload in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to problem solve.
Additional Information:
This role is on a contrct basis and is Inside IR35
