Project Manager - Automotive

Warwickshire - Up to £36.5/hr Ltd Co. - Type: Contract

Our premium brand Automotive Tier 1 is currently recruiting for the following role:

Project Manager - Automotive - £36.50 /hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire (+ other Midlands office support) - 6 Months

Key Responsibilities
Non-Production PM Assurance
- Ensure all non-production projects are managed with appropriate project management discipline and governance.
- Facilitate escalation pathways between GME and plant teams to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
- Lead and coordinate gateway reviews for all non-production projects.
- Own the agenda and execution of non-production Group & Domain review meetings.
- Triage risks and issues across non-production projects, ensuring hygiene and assurance standards are upheld.
- Maintain accountability for enforcing PM discipline across the non-production portfolio.

General Senior PM Duties
- Lead cross-functional project teams through the full lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and tools.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of PM best practices.
- Foster stakeholder engagement and manage expectations across diverse business units.

What This Role Does Not Include
- Oversight of vehicle programme projects.
- Responsibility for technical solution development.
- Accountability for direct project delivery.
- Vendor management responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior project management roles, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or operations environments.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent facilitation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire + some support in Solihull & Castel Bromwich
