Project Engineer - Test Facilities (36988125) - £27.21/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire & Hybrid - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)
Duties:
The successful candidate would be responsible for running engineering projects;
- delivery of new test facilities, including test rigs of vehicles, vehicle systems and components, this can also be civil developments across these areas also
- discussing with suppliers and internal stakeholders on project requirements and plans
- using JIRA to track work to be completed and work done
- ensure rig development is scoped out, designed, delivered and handover with a governance system akin to PRINCE2/APM

General Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including:
- Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
- Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
- Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project
- May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
Responsibilities include:
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
Additional information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
Hybrid working - there is no defined "in work" days, expectation is a significant on-site (Warwickshire) presence in the first 3 months of the contract and following that at least 3 days on site and also on site when and if needed to be at points of project delivery etc.
